The Tilburg Center for Moral Philosophy, Epistemology and Philosophy of Science (TiLPS) at Tilburg University (The Netherlands) invites all members of the list to register for the 8th Descartes Lectures, to take place between the 16th and the 18th of December, 2022.
In 2022, the René Descartes Lecturer is Professor Cheshire Calhoun (Arizona State University). Professor Calhoun will deliver three lectures on the topic Responsible Persons.
Each lecture will be followed with an invited commentary by renowned scholars: Professor Gunnar Björnsson (Stockholm University, Sweden), Dr Jules Holroyd (University of Sheffield, UK) and Professor Heidi Maibom (University of Cincinnati, USA). More researchers will present on the topic Taking Responsibility during the workshops following each lecture and commentary, focused on social dimensions of responsibility.
