Leonard Hoeft & Jan Garcia Olier in the Normativity Speaker Series (Zurich)
27 October 2022, 4:00 PM CEST
From Glenn Anderau, Lucien Baumgartner, Manuel Gustavo Isaac, Ethan Landes & Pascale Willemsen:
This Thursday, 27 October, from 4 pm to 6 pm CEST, we will have two hybrid talks on philosophy of law and jurisprudence in the Kutscherhaus at the Ethics Center, University of Zurich. You are all cordially invited to attend – either in person or online.
The first talk will be given by Leonard Hoeft (Humboldt University Berlin). Leonard holds two doctorates, one in law and another one in economics. His research in philosophy of law, behavioural law & economics, and experimental jurisprudence has its roots in philosophy, to which Leonard wishes to contribute. You find his website here: https://www.lehrstuhl-moellers.de/mitarbeiterinnen/leonard-hoef
The second talk will be given by Jan Garcia Olier (Department of Philosophy, UZH). Being a lawyer, Jan is interested in philosophy of law, experimental philosophy, and experimental jurisprudence. His doctoral research focuses on the influence of normative considerations (broadly conceived) on the attribution of concepts at the core of legal and moral responsibility, as done by laypeople and legal professionals. Here is his website: https://www.philosophie.uzh.ch/de/seminar/people/research/ethics_schaber/garciaolier.html
