Research Seminar Spring 2020 (5): The doctrine of double effect

The fifth meeting of the project research seminar this term (Spring 2020) will take place from 16.00 to 18.00, on Tuesday 11 February, 2020, in the seminar room at the Department of Philosophy, UCL (19 Gordon Square).

For this meeting, we will focus on questions about the doctrine of double effect: What is the relationship between intending and foreseeing? What moral or legal significance does the distinction between them have?
